Great lake view room!

Staying at the Drake with my family was a wonderful experience! The Christmas decor added a magical touch, and we particularly enjoyed exploring the trendy shops along Michigan Avenue. Dining at Coq d'Or was a highlight with its charming ambiance and delicious food.

My kids wished the room had better soundproofing from the hallway.

Charming Stay with Excellent Staff

Enjoyed a cozy night in a Queen Room. The staff went above and beyond, especially the concierge who recommended excellent local spots. Don’t miss the delightful breakfast at the on-site restaurant! Parking can be a bit tricky, so consider using a ride service.

We had a fantastic stay in a spacious King Room with plenty of amenities, like a coffee maker and a lovely view. We especially enjoyed the relaxing vibe of the jacuzzi and the beautiful decor throughout the hotel. Our only minor hiccup was the slow elevator service during busy times, but it didn’t overshadow our overall great experience! 😊

However, the room was small and in need of an upgrade, with chipped furniture and peeling wallpaper detracting from the charm. Additionally, the noise from adjoining rooms was disruptive, particularly early in the morning. Despite these drawbacks, the stay retained a certain nostalgic allure that I appreciated.

Plus, snag those nearby gems like the Cheesecake Factory and Coq D'Or for more culinary delights!

Unfortunately, our neighbors were celebrating a wedding both nights, and the noise kept my wife tossing and turning until the early hours. Also, it’s a shame the in-room dining options felt more like a last-minute snack attack wrapped in paper bags than a proper experience.

i recently stayed in a king room lake view and was thrilled by the elegant interiors and stunning view of lake michigan. my previous stay in chicago didn’t quite meet my expectations, but this time the service was exceptional and very attentive. the palm court for high tea was a delightful bonus!

Just a reliable pick for a quick break in Chicago with best value. The rooms were large, and the beds were comfortable. Parking is pricey, so plan for it.
